Help[Opinions] WDYT of Temperance?
I was wondering what opinions y'all had on this name, since many people tend to either love or hate virtue names. What would you rate it out of 10? What nicknames do you like, if any?
I think this is a nice enough name, I'd personally rate it 7/10. It's the name of one of my younger sisters, and we use the nn Tempe. I don't like most virtue names, but this is one of the better ones.

Very dowdy and stern and heavily Puritan. I don’t care for it.

I love virtue names. Temperance is alright, I prefer the nn Tempe as a full name tho.

It's really pretentious even as virtue names go. I always thought Kathy Reichs was overdoing it badly when she named her main character Temperance Brennan; I imagine she did it at least partly to prevent the possibility of some real person suing her and wasting her time about using that person's name, but it is just not a plausible choice for a fictional character of modern times. It's anachronistic and calls too much attention to itself.

I like it, and Tempe / Tempi / Tempie is really cute. I’d probably rate it a solid 7/10 as well.

Tempe is honestly a really cute name, and to me it doesn't stick out as a 'quirky for quiry's sake' name. Though, I do admit Temperance is a bit stand-outtish, but that isn't always negative! I like the name, it sounds pretty. 7/10!
