I asked about this name in a post a while back but what are your thoughts on Hyacinth? Does it sound name-y enough? I’m starting to really like it but something’s holding me back from putting it on my list.

Probably because it sounds like someone really informally greeting their friend Cynthia.

My first thought is Hyacinth Bucket pronounced Bouquet. Along with her sisters Rose , Violet and Daisy from a British comedy series Keeping Up Appearances.

I do like Hyacinth though and think it’s definitely usable.

I like both Hyacinth and Cynthia, but I actually prefer the extravagant Hyacinth over her more popular counterpart. She's so very... Victorian.
