These are names I would use but would actively work to avoid the nickname:
Thomas- hate Tom
August- hate Gus
Harvey- dislike Harve
Elaina- hate Ellie
These are some that I avoid in the FN slot because of the inevitable nickname:
Ezekiel- dislike Zeke
Bradley- dislike Brad
Jonathan- Jon is boring to me

You bringing up August "Gus" reminded me that I actually quite like Gustave... but, like you, don't like "Gus" at all.
