Today, I met a little girl at a small event today, and her name was Dashana. When I first heard it, it didn’t sound completely unusual, but a small urge inside me wanted to ask “What type of name is that?” the girls mother explained to me that the name Dashana came from the young girls grandfather on her fathers side, Grandpa Dash. The ‘Ana’ part came from the mother. Her Aunt Ana died from cancer a few years before Dashana was born. They call her Dash for short list of the time. (BTW it’s pronounced: DA-SHA-NAH)
Anyways, what do you think of the name Dashana? Do you think it’s weird? Do you like like? What would you rate it?

I know a girl in her early 20s, whose name is Dashana, her father is from Nepal, it's an ok name

I think it's a sweet way to memorialize dead people. Personally, though, I give it a 8/10. It sounds nice and looks pretty.

All I know is that Ana means “gracious, merciful.” And Dash pretty much just means means to run fast. Anyways, this name pretty much sounds creative/made up. I like the sentiment behind it, and I heard worse, but I’d give Dashana a 7/10.
