You are probably right. I know a very nice woman in her 60s named Karen and a now retired librarian in her 80s with the name, which gives me fond feelings toward it. Maybe in 20 years, when all the people who have made the current storm of memes are older and no longer in vogue, the name will be fondly associated with great-grandmas.
