Here are my Top 10 combos (masculine & feminine) for October of 2020:
Nicholas Rowan
Wesley Owen Rhys
Donovan Leo
Finn Gabriel
Malcolm Elliott
Jonathan Bennett
Dominic Edwin
James Arthur Raphael
Stephen Tobias
Cameron Michael Ambrose
&
Sabrina Rosalie
Felicity Charlotte
Miranda Lily
Elise Ivy Odette
Autumn Francesca
Juliana Daphne
Naomi Willow
Cassia Florence
Rebecca Phoebe
Heidi Violet
I'm playing around with three-name combos again!
Rowan became a middle, and that, Richard, and Jeffrey were replaced by James, Stephen, and Cameron. My top 7 masculine names, though - Nicholas, Wesley, Donovan, Finn, Malcolm, Jonathan, Dominic - I don't think they're ever leaving. Nor their combos, for the most part.
My feminine list saw more changes, which is pretty typical. Willow became a middle (like Rowan), and Maeve left because I now have a baby cousin with that name so using it would be a little weird. They, Eleanor, Lavinia, and Tirzah were replaced by Elise, Naomi, Cassia, Rebecca, and Heidi. I have been searching high and low for a good middle for Autumn, and bouncing combos off the polls, and I think I've finally found it. I'm still undecided about Heidi, though.
Now... ten years ago, I was still dealing with 16 combos instead of 20 (because I like multiples of 4, I guess); but this is what I had back then:
Richard Thomas
Hunter Leland
Jocelyn Grey, "Joss"
Indigo Scott, "Indy"
Cerulean Marcus
Trent Wesley
Owen Malachi
Graham Wynter
&
Claire Anneliese
Oceana Nadine
Judith Autumn, "Judi"
Adele Juliet
Katarina Tess, "Kate"
Phoebe Eloise
Gladys Emily
Marie Vivienne
This is a huge departure from last month - and a lot closer to what I have today! I vaguely remember crushing on Indigo & Cerulean for boys and playing with color names in general (Jocelyn Grey sounds delightfully medieval). And these were the days of Hunter Leland, before I finally decided Hunter was too violent as a name. Owen Malachi is pretty cool too. No idea what I was thinking with "Wynter," though (the season is spelled winter).
And Oceana! I remember when I loved Oceana! I'd actually forgotten until I searched for the post. And this was also the time when I was trying to warm up to Judith, which has almost always appeared cold and austere to me. The only way for me to do that was to pair it with Autumn (which now sits firmly in the first name slot). Adele Juliet, Katarina Tess, and Phoebe Eloise were combos that all came and went in the past 10 years, and Gladys Emily brought a smile to my face. (I still like Gladys.)
