[Opinions] Elizabeth

Maeve Elizabeth or Jane Elizabeth
My daughter is Beatrice Elizabeth Anne: Beatrice after my mother, Elizabeth after my step-MIL's mn (she was Edith Elizabeth and always went by Bunty!) and Anne is my mn, after one of my grandmothers. So, there you are: no guns required.
My daughter used to have difficulty getting people on phone-in radio, or taking pizza orders by phone, to get Beatrice right, so she considered her options and tried being Bess, only for those purposes. It worked. What she didn't know was that one of my mother's friends used to call her Bess, for no known reason.

It's been a favourite combo since I was a little girl.

Elizabeth needs to abut a really striking/unusual name in order for me not to be bored to death by it.

I like Elizabeth. It's not in my top 10 or anything, but I wouldn't be too upset if I had to use it.

I posted it in one of the other threads, but my stock combo is Elizabeth Iris.
I also like Elizabeth Ivy (as well as Elspeth Ivy), and Elizabeth Irene would also work. It seems I like to pair Elizabeth with a long-I vowel...

It would be no sacrifice for me to use Elizabeth. I absolutely love it. It's my sister's name. She's 2.5 years younger than I am, and apparently I named her. (It probably didn't hurt that my parents loved the name in the first place.)
Eliza is second on my list, right after Susannah. But I'd happily use Elizabeth instead.
Let's see:
Elizabeth Antonia
Or
Sally Elizabeth

My favorite girl name at present is Fern, so if I was forced to use Elizabeth, my daughter would be Fern Elizabeth (which actually does sound quite nice).
If I had to use it as a first name, I think I would go with Elizabeth Cressida and call her Bess/Bessie.
The funny thing is that while I dislike the name Elizabeth in whole, I do like or love quite a few nicknames for it... Bess, Bessie, Bet, Betty, Bets, Betsy, Liza, Lizzie, Libby, Beth, Lisbet, and Lilibet, among others.

Elizabeth Henriette & Carmen Elizabeth.
I like and dislike Elizabeth at the same time. It’s long and old-fashioned and slightly clunky, and has been overused to death, but I guess I can see a sort of elegance to it. I prefer Elisabeth by miles, though.
I would use Elisabeth Ione or Maris Elisabeth, but if I absolutely had to use Elizabeth I would go with Elizabeth Odette.

I really like Maris Elisabeth!
