I prefer Elisha's softer sound.
I see it as masculine, but I know a female Elisha who pronounces it exactly like Alicia (with -sha ending not -sya)
I wouldn't assume Elijah's parents were religious, because it is so popular right now. I might assume with Elisha because it is a less popular Biblical name.
