Isn't this a type of shoe?
In any case, it looks like one of those surnames that somehow became first names, while being both visually and sonically harsh and unappealing. (For reference I'm not a huge Logan fan either, but that's at least an established name - solely masculine, in my eyes - and doesn't have the "Bro" thing going on.)
Edit: I was right, it literally means shoe!
