I prefer the spelling "Alexei" which I find to be the most intuitive.I like this name but it is one of my least favorite Russian names. I love how it looks but dislike the sound. The diminutive "Alyosha" is adorable.I did not think of Alexa at all. I don't think that would be a problem.I thought of Amari, Giovanni, Gianni, Avi, Anani, Andrei, Nikolai, Valery, Anton, Vasili, Roman, Rodion, Raphael, Casimir, Agustin, Alfonso, Alistair, Valentin, Cyril, Natan, Leo, Antoine, and Oscar.Do you like Alexander? You could use Alexei and Alex as diminutives.
