[Opinions] Names that Lorne could be a nickname for.
What are some masculine names that Lorne could be a nickname for? It's fine if it's a bit of stretch. Lawrence is the obvious answer and I do like it but middle name is Daryl and "Lawrence Daryl" sounds like an oil tycoon with a handlebar mustache to me.

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but I feel like the only appropriate answer is Krevlornswath.

Lorne isn't really a nn for anything. If you want to use it, just use it and skip the messy middle step. Your question is kind of like asking what could Rose be a nn for? Sure you can make Rose a nn for Rosalie or Rosemary, but Rose is and always has been a stand-alone name.

I very much agree with this and I was being intentionally vague about the situation to avoid confrontation with jerks, but I'm actually a trans guy. I named myself Lorne about a year ago and am still very much in love with my name, feel like it suits me, etc. Except being in the US, it's not very common and people ALWAYS think its Lauren. And then I say "no, Lorne, like Lorne Michaels" and suddenly no one has ever heard of him and they continue to (either intentionally or unintentionally) call me Lauren. Its upsetting. So I'm considering changing it to something more obviously masculine for work and school and such, but still going by Lorne with those that I'm close to. I honestly haven't even decided if I want to do that yet. Your comment reinforces that I should just leave it as.
