I enjoy Nadine very much. The variant Nadia has always been more popular, it seems, but I'm still surprised I don't see Nadine used more often for the coming generation of kiddos. That said, in my Top 10 it usually makes an appearance as a middle, not a first (e.g. Miranda Nadine, Julia Nadine, Cressida Nadine, etc.).
I'd say no to Catherine in this case mainly because I don't think Nadine should be paired with another name that ends in an N. (They also both actually end in -ine, but different vowel sounds, so it looks odd as well.) How about...
