I just think of hats. Zero appeal as a name.

For me, Derby is way too close to "derpy."
I knew a Darby in high school, too. That's ok; I don't love it, but it doesn't stand out as particularly bad or anything.

Well, I knew a Darby, in high school. I prefer that, to Derby.

Hat. Horse race.
