Sorry, I hate it. I despise surnames as first names in general, but this one sounds like it would also be an action sound in a comic book. “Biff! Zap! Boone!” I know the meaning of the word boon is positive, but it’s just such a ridiculous, goofy combo of sounds.

On one hand it gives me this old southern glamour kind of feeling and on the other it just feels clunky and silly. So I guess it’s alright? I wouldn’t use it but I wouldn’t mind seeing it.

I actually like Boone. It was my great grandfather's middle name and I find it rather endearing for that reason.

Not even slightly attractive as a ln; as a fn, it's a booing, mooing disaster.

I sort of like it for some reason.

Daniel Boone and coon skin hats and Boondock Saints.

Any name I immediately associate with animal skins seems like a bad name.

Very awkward as a first name, too much like the word "bone."

And seems too deliberately evocative of a cliche Daniel Boone image IMO (but this probably dates me).
