[Opinions] Wilfred/Wilfrid
This is a guilty pleasure name for me because it feels super geeky but lately I've been loving it! What do you think, and which spelling do you prefer?

I think it sounds stuffy and elderly, but I do like the Wilfred Owen association (hence Wilfred is the spelling I prefer) and the nickname Freddie.

I actually think Wilfred/Wilfrid is quite usable. I can see a normal person with the name. It sounds kind of old-man-ish still, but hey, those names are in style.I prefer Wilfred.

I prefer Wilfred: makes Will, Wilf and Fred possible nns, and the more choice the merrier. Can't say I enjoy it much as a name, though it has a certain vintage charm. First World War veteran, kind of thing.

I've taught two boys called Wilfred. One went by Wilf, the other Will. It's perfectly useable.

Hi !!!I prefer Wilfrid.
It is a lovely name with a very positive meaning.Don't worry! Wilfrid is not geeky, it is a name with a sense and a history behind it. It is far better than many modern names."Desiring peace" is a wonderful hope for the future.
