[Facts] attn: Cleveland Kent Evans
I have just received your book in the mail, thank you! I've only skimmed so far, but I'm happy to see that the name descriptions are good and meaty, with lots of information you wouldn't find in other books or websites. Also, I think this is the first book I've seen that has included such modern names as Mekhi and Nevaeh.
For those who don't know, Dr. Evans has a new book called 'The Great Big Book of Baby Names'.

Thanks very much for the plug. Ever since I got my free copies I've been obsessively going through my own book and being upset at the few mistakes I've noticed already. I don't know how I got Boaz as Naomi's son under the entry for Naomi; I know he was at most her nephew by marriage! Mahlon, Ruth's first husband, was Naomi's son.
I'm also mystified as to why the editors of the book added the word "French" to the entry on Freda. That one wasn't my fault; I checked and the word wasn't there in what I wrote!
I also would have written my entry for Maritza considerably differently if I had learned that the letter "c" is pronounced like the English "ts" in Serbian before I had to send in the final copy of the book.
Ah well. Just goes to show you can't believe everything you read, even when you yourself have written it! :)

Title and ISBN, please!
Could you please tell us the complete title and the ISBN number? I am very much interested in purchasing your book, if it's available in Germany.

Thanx a lot! But …
… I tried at www.amazon.com and I could not find the book. Leave alone www.amazon.de
No "Cleveland Kent Evans" either.
I just read what the author says about the availability even in the US. So I guess we'll have to wait a while.
Thanks anyway.

I will tell you all when and if it is available on Amazon.com in the USA. I assume that when the American Amazon has it, it could be special ordered through Amazon versions overseas.
Question, Professor!
Any chance I could order an autographesd copy from you? If so, would PayPal be ok?

Pavlos, I have no idea how to use PayPal as someone receiving money. I will be happy to send you an autographed copy, and you could respond by sending me some name book from Greece which isn't readily available in the USA. It might be a couple of months before I can do this, though, as I've already distributed my initial free author's copies to relatives, and will need to order some more from the publisher myself.
Sounds good to me :)
I am too interested!
It is not on Amazon US to date.

Congrats on the publication :-) Is your book being sold in Australia?

I doubt if it will be available in Australia. If I find out otherwise, I will certainly tell you. At the moment I'm not sure just how available it will even be in the USA. This publisher seems to be a bit slow about doing things like listing the book in Books in Print. They just got around to mentioning it on their own website yesterday and they seem to have ended their statement about it in midsentence on that site:
