Would anyone here happen to know anything about the origin/history of Adirondax as a name? The most I could find on the matter was that the etymology of "Adirondack" in "Adirondack Mountains" possibly originates from Mohawk.
I know I've seen "Adirondax" intended as a first name, though I can't remember if it was an actual person's name or if it was on a name list or what, so I can't quite even say I know for sure that there would be any recorded use of it as a name. I'm sorry I know so little.
I'd really like to know of any existing cultural connotations of this name, because I've come to associate a character with it as sort of a working name for them, thinking to maybe name them after a mountain range, but when it comes to actually naming them I want to keep from appropriating anything.
