[Opinions] Noa
I don't think I like this name, for a girl. I love Noah for a boy, though. What do you think of Noa/Noah? Would you use either? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

If I heard "NO-ə", I would immediately assume the person is a man named Noah, so I don't think it makes a very good feminine name. I don't like Noah either - I have no idea how it reached #1 in America a few years back, since I can't see any appeal to it except of its origins.

I love Noah and I've done so for years, I decided against using it though since my surname also starts with No..I like Noa as well but wouldn't use it because I wouldn't want everyone to expect my daughter to be a boy when hearing her name.

I dislike both. That NO at the beginning is most discouraging.

I've liked Noa for a girl for years, not enough to use in real life though. One of my old combos is Noa Gabrielle. I like Noah for a boy, and would use it if it wasn't so popular.

I don't like either. Noah isn't my thing at all and Noa just sounds exactly like Noah and the missing h serves no purpose. It's just going to be misspelled by everybody

In my mom group, we have a girl Noa but no boy Noahs, fwiw. I like both. I think I'd use either as a middle name.

Nice for a girl but super boring on a boy.

I like both, though I really love Noa for a girl quite a bit more. I wouldn't either due to Noah's recent popularity. It's a really nice name and if something has to be popular it's a good choice. I just get worn out.(Yes I see the irony as the mother of John)

I support Noah for a boy, and especially love it for a middle name:Alec Noah
Christopher Noah
Daniel Noah
Gabriel Noah
Henry Noah
Jasper Noah
Oliver Noah
Patrick Noah
Raphael Noah
Samuel Noah
Timothy Noah
Zachary NoahFor a girl, Noa seems problematic. I support Nia, though.

It DOES work well, as a middle name. I love it. :)

I prefer Noa for a girl (it's also a Japanese feminine name) and Noé for a boy. It's very cute so I doubt I'd ever use it but I appreciate the sound.Noah is so overused that I find it kinda annoying, especially on boys.

I love Noa for a girl. I very much wanted to use it for Miriam due to it's meaning "motion " I didn't use it because everyone would have kept commenting that it was a boy's name.I don't like Noah for a boy because it's so overused. It also comes across as cutesy to me.

Everyone in your family, or everyone, in general? With the name lists you share, it doesn't seem like a girl Noa would be too out there in Fargo, but I could be wrong.

When I was pregnant with Miriam I wasn't around as many kids as I am now. Thinking about it now, after coming across the names I've come across over the years? Yeah, you're right - it wouldn't be too odd. But I once spent five minutes arguing with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law over whether or not Ira was a girls' name and gave up. I love my family and my in-laws, but they are not shy with their opinions and I would have spent a ridiculous amount of time explaining again and again about Noa being a femimine name. Also, I don't care if someone is willing to name their kid Issachar, Bear, Atlas, Tiberius, etc. My kid is going to have go by the name and I know how exhausting it can be when people keep asking about your name. Had I named her Noa I would have been explaining why all the time and that would have gotten old. Miriam is as uncommon as I was willing to get.

I don't like it for a girl at all. It's all boy to me. I do like Noah very much on a boy. I wouldn't mind using it.

I have to wonder if I wouldn't care about popularity, if I had a child? I would like to say 'no', and that I would use whatever named I liked, regardless, but individuality through a name matters, too. Who knows?

I personally dislike Noa for a girl. It sounds better on a boy and as far as using it...who knows. If I never do (meaning in real life because I did use it for one of my characters) it won't be due to it's popularity, provided if the name is still resting high on the charts by then.
I don't mind the spelling of Noa but I do prefer Noah. It just looks more familiar and complete. More natural.
