[Opinions] Audra vs Audrey
I've never liked Audrey, but I've started liking Audra. I don't really get a similar vibe from them, despite how similar they sound. What impression do you get from Audrey and Audra? How do they seem similar to you? How are they different?

Audra! I like Audrey, too, but Audra is so much prettier.

Audra for me. Audrey is a very safe, very solid, almost conservative name. Audra has a new-age, more down to earth feeling. And I'm also tired of Audrey.

Audrey is nicer in my opinion. Audra looks odd and made-uppish.

I've never encountered an Audra IRL. So, my only reaction is that if it is Lithuanian, they can keep it, and if it's a modified version of Audrey, it doesn't help.Where I live, the vibe that Audrey gives me is middle-aged-to-elderly, obese, probably a smoker. On a young person, I'd expect a school dropout.

Audrey: due to "As You Like It", it feels a bit "scatterbrained shepherdess" to me, but I do like it - it doesn't necessarily sound less intelligent than Audra, but definitely more youthful and cheerful.
Audra: it feels more mature and upper-class, but it sounds too serious for me.

To me Audrey vs Audra is like Lauren vs Lara, or Jean vs Janine, or Elizabeth vs Beth.
I think Audrey is more tidy and serious and cute and traditional; Audra is more relaxed, outdoorsy or artsy, and also a teeny bit dated.
I associate Audrey with Hepburn and with my husband's 80 year old aunt who's a fun midwestern farm woman. I associate Audra with a really nice girl I knew in high school, who was into horses and country music.
I like both names a lot and would name a daughter either, but I'd slightly prefer Audra because I just like how it sounds more, it seems more relaxed to say.

I love both and both give me “strong”, “warm”, “sunshine”, and “crinkly leaves” vibes, the latter possibly because “autumn” shares the same beginning sound/letters. For me, they differ in that Audrey feels more youthful, friendlier, spunkier, and Audra feels more sophisticated, subtle, reserved, though still warm.
