Note: To make things realistic but still reliant on the luck-of-the-roll and allow for “surprise babies”, each year I used dice to see if I would roll for a birth/adoption or not in addition to an “other”, non-birth event (I didn’t think my couple would try for another child if they’d just had one :)). So even=roll for a birth and other event while odd=just roll for an other event.

Besides that, they have discovered a very valuable bracelet made with real diamonds and rubies in the attic of their house which they are saving for Lieselotte.
