I referred to my child as Poppy when I was pregnant. she was the size of a poppy seed when we had our first ultrasound.
It was fine for a fetus but there is no way I would have used it in real life. It feels very insubstantial. My mom actually called me and asked me if I was planning to naming the child Poppy, terrified that I was. She was very relieved and I said no.
