[Opinions] Sextuplets
I was just looking online at blogs and found a blog with septuplets...Tag, Rayne, Blu, Rawlings, Layke, and Rivers, plus their brothers Saylor, and twins (boys) Bridge and Wales...As far as I can tell.. Rawlings, Rayne and Rivers are girls, and Tag, Blu, and Layke are boys.Thoughts?

Their names has been posted before. I like Lake with this spelling, and Raine. Wales is a GP of mine ever since I heard about that sibset. The other names suck though.

Yawn. These kinds of names are hardly any less boring and same-old than if they had been from the top ten. Except, they're somehow much humbler. Just because the only Rivers I've ever known of is Joan Rivers, doesn't make the name Rivers novel, unique, cool, interesting, or appealing in any way at all. They're just typical names of the trendy style of neutered-surnamey, wordy-but-not names, that make you take 2 seconds to learn to use them as a name, only so you can forget them even faster than you'd have forgotten Emma or Noah.

Tag is a children's game, also caled Tiggy
Blu looks like a crayon with the end chopped off
Rayne is acceptable as alternative spelling of Raine. NMS.
Rawlings, Layke, Rivers, Saylor, Bridge, and Wales all sound like surnames

I think the point the parents have missed is that sextuplets will in any case stand out. They will be noticed. There is no need to give them names which are for whatever reason unique. Emma, Olivia, Ava, Liam, Noah and William would do just fine. However, Saylor, Bridge and Wales show that they despise spelling, like civil engineering projects and sing Land Of My Fathers in the shower. Or maybe not! Perhaps they are just furthering their own career on social and other media. In which case they are inordinately selfish.

or ...They really would have preferred a bunch of purebred golden retrievers.

One could take the other tack and say that, since 'being a sextuplet' is already always going to be the thing that most people find most notable about them, it's less of a burden to bear a weird name.I buy this to some extent with celebrity names and such, but. No, these are just bad names.Oh, the wealth of names between 'top ten' and and these types of """"unique"""" names that people just pass by... makes me want to start an advocacy group to bring to people's attention names that are unique and also not terrible.

Re:I thought of that too. The names were chosen to further their career. They got a TLC show ($$$) because of the multiple birth so why not give the babies unique names to make them more special.

Those names suck, individually and especially together. That is all.

Re:Not just a blog, they have a show on TLC "Sweet Home Sextuplets." The six babies joined the couple's three other children: sons Saylor, Wales and Bridge.

All of these names are terrible, I feel sorry for the children.

Saylor (m)

Wales (m)Right?Uhm..
I strongly dislike when parents change the spelling. About surnames these are not my style.I personally like Blu (unisex) and Wales (male).
