It feels like an incomplete version of Livia to me.

It would always risk confusion with Liv and Livia, both of which I prefer though I don't like them enough to use. Liva is also perilously close to liver, which I love to eat but many don't.

I think it would be mispronounced a lot (upon seeing it, at least; like "liver" without the R) where I am from, but I like it and think it's usable.

I like it. It seems very appealing. Like Liv, but seems more accessible to me.
Slightly, I would be concerned about people saying it to rhyme saliva - but I think that wouldn't be a big deal.
Also slightly concerned that it sounds like "lever," or like "leave a ..."
But that's not too bad either, as long as it's not combined with certain middles or lasts.
Great combos aren't leaping to my mind, but Liva Maren might work.
