For a long time (pre-internet research and nobody around to correct me) I pronounced it sole-veeg. Now I know its true pronunciation, here's my verdict: it is too much like Sylvie, which I don't like - I prefer Sylvia
As a pronunciation, I prefer sole-veeg. It is more unique and sounds like no other name I know.
