I like it in a very Puritan-like way. Very nice name in theory, but I would probably never use it as I can see how some could take it as being 'cheesy'.

Blessing itself seems very tacky, but I love Benedict and its feminine forms Benedicta and Benedetta, which all mean "blessed".

It's interesting, and as a character name, I think it could be cool.
