I wonder if they'll call Maguire "Maggie"? I went to school with someone named that, b. 1998, and no it wasn't her mother's maiden name. I thought it was just incredibly weird. Her surname was Polish and was very obviously not Irish, and I don't know if that made it better or worse. The mother was of Irish descent, and I don't know that if makes it better or worse either.

Chevelle Mae feels very out of place in 2018/2019.
I wonder if all the little girls getting super butch names like Stetsyn and Sterling are gonna give all their daughters the frilliest princess names imaginable.

I think Maguire is horrible. In the case of the one you know, it sounds like the mom just wanted to give the child an obnoxiously sounding Irish name to shove it to her Polish in-laws is what it sounds like.
