You did absolutely fine, especially for your first time hosting.
For future reference, you might want to be more specific when you give instructions for English names. There's a whole bunch of English names, and narrowing the parameters to, say, "a modern English name" or "an English classic" helps us players figure out what you're looking for, ya know?
