[Facts] Re: Edit submiited names?
Oh, I see why new accounts are not allowed to edit already submitted names. I, for example, wanted to edit the entry for Ishika (https://www.behindthename.com/name/ishika/submitted) to add meaning and gender, scripts etc. Here, the names means "desirable" and is both a masculine and feminine name. Source: "M. V. Kamath; Kalindi Randeri (2002). Indian Names: From Classical to Contemporary, for People, Places & Products. Arkansh. p. 260." (https://books.google.com/books?id=3WJmAAAAMAAJ)I did not want to create a new entry for the same name as that would have been cumbersome for all editors involved.
I've seen other such entries as well which are missing information or have incorrect details and would like to fix them. Hopefully I will be allowed edit the entries here. Thanks

There is also the possibility to correct a name: https://www.behindthename.com/submit/submit
The correction will appear in a discussion tab attached to the submitted name (I'm not sure, but I suspect this tab is only visible to editors). Sooner or later, an editor will see your comment and take it into consideration if the information is appropriate / relevant or dismiss it if it's not.
Let me emphasize, though, that you (general you) should add reliable sources, both to corrections and to new submissions; I wish more submitters did that. We, the editors, constantly review old and new submissions alike to make the submitted names database as reliable as it can possibly be. It really is helpful when submitters add their sources.
