Round 1:
The Brandt Family
DH: John Michael Brandt "Jack" (25)
DW: Sara Louise (Kelley) Brandt (24)
DS or DD:
Jack and Sara both come from very traditional families. They have been married for two years and are expecting their first child in a few months! They have just started thinking about names, and are interested in names that are classic and traditional, but not as common as theirs are. They want the gender of their first child to be a surprise, so please provide a name for each gender that they can choose from!
The Ryder Family
DH: Paul Nicholas Ryder (23)
DW: Alina Mirela (Antonescu) Ryder (23)
DD:
Alina is from Romania. She came to the United States for college, but did not expect to stay. That changed when she met Paul. The two of them fell in love and were married just after graduation. They are expecting their first child--a little girl! Paul hasn't said much about names--just that he'd like something with a nickname. Alina is hoping he'll agree to a Romanian name.
The McNeely Family
DH: Zane Jasper McNeely (19)
DW: Natasha Marie (Lewis) McNeely (19)
DS:
Zane and Tasha were high school sweethearts and were married a few months ago. They're already expecting their first child--something they didn't count on for several years yet. Zane would like a unique name, and Tasha leans more towards nature or "earthy" names. They just found out that they will be having a little boy.
The Hargrove Family
DH: Androcles Menelaus Hargrove "Andy" (28)
DW: Calliope Delia (Rosenthal) Hargrove "Callie" (28)
DS or DD:
Andy and Callie met in their parents' Greek club when they were in elementary school, and spent most of their time there fighting. Andy's family moved away several years later, but the two ran into each other again at Callie's brother's wedding. The two of them quickly discovered that their feelings had changed and began pursuing a romantic relationship. They were married eight months later, and are now expecting their first child. Callie definitely does not want to know the gender, so Andy has agreed that it will be a surprise. As far as naming the baby--they definitely don't want historical names...something modern, trendy, and popular is more up their alley.
