[Opinions] Jamison
WDYT of Jamison?Does anyone like it, or is it too surname-y? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I do like it. Much better than James actually. The meaning is so obvious that it feels weird if the child isn't named for a James or Jamison isn't a family name.

Reminds me of Jameson's whiskey, but looks like it ought to be said 'jammy son'.
Might work on a two-year-old that's just had a sponge-cake?

It's surname-y, but I think it's fine. As a middle, I love it.

I differ from many namenerds because I like surnames as middle names (since many boomers my mom's age replaced their middles with surnames). Plus, depending on the region you are from, it's sort of a traditional way of naming if it's in your family.

It’s too surnamey and it makes me think of the whiskey. It’s just not a good name, imho.

I like surnames and I still dislike Jamison. Jamie is bad enough without lengthening it.

Ooh, very classic and handsome. I definitely can see it usable as a first or middle, not JUST a surname. A fresh alternative to 'James' Although that name is good as well. Or, to honor a James if one didn't want to use that name directly.

I don't like it. It's pretty surnamey. Not the worst. But kinda like Harrison... as though James and Harry were too ordinary? Too personal, not important-sounding enough? haha. I dunno. It's not my style at all. But it's not a name I eyeroll at either.
