When Iris and Eetu discovered they were expecting, they were overjoyed - when the ultrasound revealed that Iris was carrying triplets, they were stunned. Hugo is ill for several weeks with a nasty fever. Eventually it passes, but Margot, Valentin and Florent realise that they care for their little brother a lot more than they thought.

The decision to move their young family to a foreign country they’d never been to before, speaking a language none of them knew, was difficult. However, they all love Barcelona, and adjust to their new life there quickly. Naturally, Marko and Sulo come too.

Adding to their menagerie, Iris and Eetu get a pet lizard for Jules, who names it Lars.

After 23 years together, Eetu and Iris get a divorce. They decided that things were just too difficult between them, and it would be better for everyone if they separated. All the kids take it quite hard, especially Hugo, who’s only 6, and they begin to get closer. Iris and Eetu agree to shared custody of them all.

Eetu recently met someone new - Gracia is a Barcelona native and a doctor. She lives with her daughter from her previous marriage, Elena. Elena and Gracia both get on well with the kids, although sometimes communication is difficult - the triplets in particular don’t speak such good Spanish, and Elena knows little English.

Iris received a promotion at the primary school. In addition, the triplets all finished school. Valentin is staying at home for a while more, making a living selling his art. Florent is studying computer science in Paris, while Margot is studying political science in Perth.
