ETA: I don't see Emmanuel as a religious name (not more than Matthew or Paul). I'm not religious and I would definitely use it in real life.

I like the sound of it, when it rhymes with Daniel. I'd find it surprising on a British child without a religious and/or foreign background, though; that's what I'd expect.

I like it, it’s too religious for me to use but if I met a child named this I’d like it.

Love it obviously, as it's DS#1's mn. We love the meaning of the name, that's why we picked it.
