[Opinions] Re: Top 10 for July
Cybele is one of my firm favourites, it kinda ticks all my boxes - weird, not too modern, history / mythology behind it, eye-catching on paper and a pretty sound... The issue is that everyone I've bounced it off of has either hated it, mocked it as too weird, and/or struggled with saying or spelling it. It was one of three names my ex explicately vetoed, which I guess could work for or against it. I thought Cynara might be more accessible? It has a nice nature/flower association and looks more feminine. But actually, it might look a little either scientific/medicinal or made up? Like a kinda trendy kinda anagram version of Serena? I've always hated Serena, sadly, and might have just talked myself out of Cynara. Hmmm...

Cynara reminds me of "sayonara," so it doesn't sound like "a name" to me (whatever that means). It also reminds me of cyanide...Cybele, on the other hand, boasts the mystique of antiquity -- I adore it!
