Basil used to be in my Top 10, butfor some reason it's not as great an actual name to me anymore. so Horatio is way better to me now. does anyone like Horace, btw?

I'd rather be a Basil; it seems quieter. But Horatio could grow on me. I think it's a unique mix of dignified, charismatic, and ugly-cute.

Horatio’s one of my favourites, and is pretty much perfect. Unusual, easy to say/spell, has a boyish, adventurous, handsome, but soft feel that is very much my style. I’d use him in a heartbeat for a 3rd boy.

I’m really not a fan of either? If had to choose, would go with Horatio.

Basil. I'm actually considering using it. It reminds me of Basil of Baker Street, the kiddie movie. Plus, you can call him Baz for short. Horatio is cool too!

I would go with Horatio if I had to choose out of these two.

...mainly because I would enjoy seeing a birth announcement for it more. It's a fun name, and shortens neatly to Ray if needed.
