[Opinions] Carson
I used to really hate this name and only found it tolerable as a last name but with a change of heart, I now feel completely neutral towards it. A name I neither hate nor love.
Thoughts?
Also, are there any names you can think of that you RECENTLY changed your opinion on?
Names you either dislike, now like or the other way around.

Not a big fan of Carson. It really does fit that two-syllable -son trend that’s been going on for a while. Doesn’t really have a positive meaning and just seems like a surname used to fit a trend. Also, it just “seems young” to me, like Cooper or Carter. I know there are older Carsons (Carson Wentz, Carson Daly) but it still seems a bit out of place on an adult imho.
I can think of one: Dorothea — used to think it tried too hard to be “hipster trendy,” but now I appreciate it for its complex sound and positive meaning. Same for Ophelia.

I like it. It is a guilty pleasure on a girl, but I would actually consider it for a boy.
I like the sound enough so can see the appeal but it's a surname and that makes me dislike it.
My taste has completely changed in ways. I used to like a lot of surnames (Emerson, Carter) that I'd never use now. At one point those two names were my top names. I used to hate girl names ending in -a, but now it seems most of the names I like do. I think there's your personal classics, names you'll always love, but as with anything else, taste changes as you mature.

I totally think of Carson Daly too...
Hi !!!!
Carson is a surname imo.
This name is only linked with a Downton Abbey character in my mind. Here Charles Carson "Mr Carson" is the butler of an aristocratic British family.
I love this Tv series and I like that character but I would never use it as given name..maybe on a pet but I have better names and links.
