[Facts] Latinate Names in Ireland?
When names were recorded in Ireland in church registers, would they have written the names in Latin in a Catholic parish but the anglicized version being used casually? I ask because I am doing some genealogy research and I have a Gulielmus and a Dionisii I am researching but a little etymology and history help would be beneficial."Okay, what are your ideas? Taylor? Uh-huh. Fletcher? Cooper? Tanner? Where are you getting these? The Big Book Of Medieval Professions?"

Their actual names would have been William and Dennis. Quite often the whole entry will be in Latin as well as the names.
This is fairly common in earlier English parish records, too.

If it's Ireland I don't think "Anglicized" is necessarily the right word.
