What are your thoughts on names like Skip, Chip, and Kip? Do you think they have the potential to become popular? Only as nicknames and not given names?

They sound like cat names to me. I remember Beanie Babies had a line up of cats with a calico named Chip and a Siamese named Skip. I can’t see them getting popular.

They sound like stereotypical rich WASP American nicknames. I picture all of them belonging to a country club and playing golf, polo, and croquet.

Okay, full disclosure, I thought this was going to be a name version of Screw, Marry, Kill. Do you skip the name? (Not your style), Chip the name (cut it out of eveybody’s use forever), or Kip (keep) the name?
I like them all as nicknames for sure. Wouldn’t give a single one as a given name, though.

Kip is sort of cute as a nickname for Christopher, but Skip and Chip are terrible. Kip is terrible as a given name too.
