[Opinions] Evelyn, Eleanor, and Elizabeth
3 of my favorite “E” girl names. WDYT? Would any of them work as siblings?
I just redid my PNL, please vote! https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/174843

I love Evelyn and Eleanor! Elizabeth is boring to me since it's so overused.
I'm not a fan of giving siblings the same initials in most circumstances. Eleanor and Elizabeth have similar beginnings, but not too bad. Eleanor could be Ellie, Nellie or Nora and Elizabeth has a dozen nicknames different to those to choose from, so not really a problem in a sibset.

I think they work fine as a set, as long as the last two don't both want to be Ellie.
Eleanor is the only one I like. Eve on its own is nice.

I don't mind Evelyn, and I actively like Eleanor, Elinor and Elizabeth.
Evelyn and Elinor could work. In my opinion, Elizabeth is better as a mn (it's my daughter's mn) because it so seldom gets used in its full form. But, the same could be said for Evelyn. At least all Evelyn people become Eve - Elizabeth has too many potential nns, most of which I don't enjoy or am sick of.

Evelyn and either Eleanor and Elizabeth would be fine as siblings. Eleanor and Elizabeth are too similar IMO.
As for the names themselves, I love Eleanor and would consider using it. Elizabeth is also great. You can never really go wrong with Elizabeth. I hate Evelyn a lot. It's harsh and unattractive sounding and it irritates me that it used to be a male name. I do love Eva and Eve, though.

A lot of people seem to find Elizabeth boring and bland, but I think it’s strong and regal! Glad to finally find a positive response to it. (-:
I like Evelyn best pronounced Ever-lyn
I think Elizabeth and Eleanor would be too close but other than that fine
I prefer Elisabeth and Elspeth
I prefer Eleanore and Eleanora

But there’s no r in Evelyn?

I actually prefer Evelyn (EEV-lin) on boys, like Evelyn Waugh, who wrote one of my favourite books. I never know what do with it on a girl, is it EV-ə-lin or EV-lin? I can certainly see the appeal, anyway, but I would prefer Eveline on a girl.
Eleanor is the name of a friend of mine and I do like it, but I prefer Nora and Leonora.
I also like Elizabeth, but do prefer Elisabeth or even just Eliza. The only Elizabeths I have ever known have gone by the full name, which is nice.

EV- ə - lin (-:
I’ve never heard of the EEV-lin pronunciation before, it’s nice!

EEV-lin has such a smooth, pleasant sound. I think it might be a tad counter-intuitive to the way language has involved now. You'd probably have to use Eve Lynn, if at all.
I like Elizabeth and Eleanor, but dislike Evelyn. To me it's so dumpy and I don't get its return to popularity.
To me, somehow Elizabeth, like Katherine, escapes the generic feeling of Mary and Jane, although all are popular classics. I think it's because I find Elizabeth and Katherine just more interesting visually and aurally.
Eleanor is fine, it's just not a big favorite of mine. It's way better than vanilla-pudding Wonder Bread Ellen, certainly.
Of the three, I like Elizabeth best.
Two of the three would work fine as siblings, but all three together is bordering on corny.

They're fine, albeit somewhat bland. I prefer Eveline / Edeline (unrelated), Elinor / Leonora, and Elisabeth / Elspeth respectively.
I don't like any of them. Elizabeth because it's so sibillant and boring, and the other two because they are so elderly. They definitely could be sisters, any combination of them, though a rather matchy-matchy set of sisters.
