[Facts] Incorrect names added to data base.
I saw on a search someone has added the name Sian as being Maori name! It is Welsh, and the missing circumflex does make it a Maori name. The maori alphabet does not even have the letter S. It makes me annoyed that someone would share misinformation about two languages.

Submitted names are not checked for accuracy. That's why some of them are inaccurate. For example, some of the supposedly Japanese names listed are names that are only found in anime/manga and don't occur in real life.
I added it and the reason it was done that way has to do with usage, not origin, which are two different things. Since I was not aware of the original origin of the name the best way to add it to the database is through usage, especially since I did not find another bearer yet to add to the entry.
P.S. you're a bit too emotionally attached if that really annoys you. Next time, just message the person who submitted the name (like you eventually did) instead of posting here.

Fixed it for you.
The 'Maori' entry that LMS added included a reference to a Wikipedia article about the murder of Sian Kingi, who was of Maori descent, so that's probably why 'Maori' was included in the 'usages' section.
