Maybe it's because one of my best friends as a kid was named
Ariana but I love most of these.
I love:
Arianna,
Ariana,
Ariadne,
Ariadna,
Arijana,
Arienne,
Ariane, and
Arianne.
I prefer the English pronunciation for all of these except for
Arijana which has no English equivalent and
Ariadne for which I prefer the Greek pronunciation but I do like the other pronunciations for these names.
Ariana is probably my favorite of these names.
Ariadne and
Ariadna are my second favorites. If my husband loved
Ariana I could see using it for one of our children since it's probably in my top 35 favorite names. The last time I mentioned it he didn't like it.
I also love
Mariana which was my nana's birth name but she chose to go by
Marian, the only people who called her
Mariana were her mother and some of her siblings.
