I've always loved this name. I think it's beautiful and love the association with flowers and plants.
My one issue with it is: its use in medical terminology, e.g. gut flora or vaginal flora. I know it's a fairly established name and wouldn't be as bad as say, Candida, but sharing a name with the microbes in the intestines or vagina still feels rather unfortunate. So, what do you think? Of the name itself, and of its usability? Would you mind if it was your name?
