In what form of English does it mean anything? And where has it been used? I'm afraid I'm sceptical, but open to being proved wrong.

I'm wondering if it's a shortening of Viviana, which would explain the meaning.
In which case, I'd prefer Viv or Vivie.

I thought the same, but calling Viviana an English name or viana (lower-case v, presumably) an English word is quite a stretch!
