Luke and Noelani recently married in a small ceremony in Luke's hometown of Portland, Oregon after a slow four-year relationship. They're not your average couple by any means. Luke grew up in Foster care after being abandoned as a young child and didn't find his forever home until his early teens. He has been supported by his loving family ever since and he loves them to death. However, he has always wanted really wanted to start a family of his own. When he met Noelani he was well past 30 and getting anxious to find the One. Noelani, on the other hand, wasn't looking for love. She had recently graduated law school and gotten a job as a finance lawyer. In her free time she surfed with her Hawaiian friends and family and, in her mind, they were enough. The couple ad a rocky beginning dealing with these problems, but they have finally sorted them out and plan to get a start on their family together.

Luke found a mouse in their kitchen and decided to start feeding it and playing with it. Noelani wasn't a fan at first, but she came around.

Noelani and Luke created their first family reunion, celebrating their anniversary with as many members of both of their families as they could get.

Luke and Noelani wanted kids, but this wasn't what they bargained for! Noelani gave birth to quadruplets this year, two identical boys and two identical girls. They enlisted the help of family and friends for the first couple months and are now functioning pretty well on heir own, although they're more busy than they thought imaginable. For their names, the intended on using Hawaiian middles but couldn't agree on any so they honored people in Luke's family instead.

Back in his home state of Florida, Tanner's younger half-sister Krystina is getting married soon, however she refuses to invite anyone from her side of the family, including him, their siblings Kaye and Sam, and their mother Evie. Due to an argument three years back, Krystina has cut ties from her family, and while Tanner hasn't forgiving his sister, he thinks she should at least invite Evie to the wedding. Better yet, own up to her mistakes and make amends. Just to add, he attempted to bury the hatchet and invited her to his wedding a year ago, but she never responded.
YEAR TWO: Meanwhile, Manon's older brother Frédéric is getting married to his childhood sweetheart, Simone. Manon and Tanner travel to Nantes where the wedding is taking place. Manon spent a small part of her childhood in Nantes before moving to New York at age eight when her. Going back to Nantes, of course, brings back memories of summer vacation being spent here with her brother, mother and stepfather.
YEAR THREE: Tragedy strikes when Manon's beloved stepfather, Lars, dies from a massive heart attack. Incredibly heartbroken by the news, Manon always had a great relationship with her stepfather, even closer than the relationship with her real father. He was a kind and gentle man who treated Manon and her brother like his own children. Since Tanner is busy with a huge project, Manon goes with her best friend, Ellie, to Bad Wimpfen, where the funeral is taking place.
