In Chaucer and Shakespeare, Cressida isn't exactly a role model, though she is a survivor. I like it much more than any possible form of Briseis! My problem with it is that it's a car - Toyota Cressida, I think. Not sure if they are still in production, but who wants to be named after a car?

My probem is similar..Cressida is very similar to the Italian word "clessidra" which means "hourglass". I'm trying to decide if it is a good association or not.Hourglass is somenthing related with time and somenthing mysterious as well like the past. Cressida is very related with Mythology and past Literature so it could be a good link.WDYT?

I've always loved Cressida! I don't think it sounds strange at all, other than that it's uncommon. It gets an eight in my book :)
