Year 0 (2017)

Alban and Martha live in Dublin, Ireland, where Alban works as a playwright, and Martha as an actress. They met after Martha auditioned for one of Alban's roles, and they quickly fell in love. They've just got married, after dating for 3 years, and are eager to begin their new life together.
Year 1 (2018) - Pet event - Rat or Mouse
Alban and Martha would love to have a family one day, but decide to start small, with a mouse called Quintina. They both think she's the cutest thing!
Year 2 (2019) - Random event - Receive an award
Martha's performance in Alban's latest play was widely lauded, and she's just won an award for it! Alban, Martha and Quintina celebrate, (Well, Quintina just squeaks, really)
Year 3 (2020) - Birth - Girl
Alban and Martha's, hem, celebrations lead to a birth in 2020!

Year 4 (2021) - Random - Volunteer somewhere
Alban and Martha, by now a well-established theatre duo, team up with a local performing arts charity to bring theatre to schools around Ireland!
Year 5 (2022) - Job - Attend work-related function
Alban and Martha leave Violet with her grandparents for a week as they attend a theatre conference in the US. They both learn a lot, and feel that their work is greatly improve by the opportunity.
Year 6 (2023) - Pet - Chicken
Quintina lived to a very old age (for a mouse) but she's sadly passed away. However, the Newtons instead adopt 3 chickens: Helmfrid, Eris and Regina (I love the random name generator). 3-year-old Violet loves to care for and play with them!
Year 7 (2024) - Pet - Bird
Realising how much they enjoy caring for animals, the Newtons adopt a parrot! They welcome Romulus to their family.
Year 8 (2025) - Job - Recognised for your work
Alban and Martha are really beginning to be noticed outside of Ireland! They recently received a recommendation to an elite group of actors, playwrights and directors.
Year 9 (2026) - Pet - Bird
The Newtons decide to get a companion for Romulus: another loud parrot called Alda'
Year 10 (2027) - Random - Move somewhere new (the country you live in)
Martha and Alban decide there are more theatre opportunities on mainland Britain, and so move to Edinburgh, Scotland. 7-year-old Violet is a little upset by the change, but soon settles into life in Scotland.
Year 11 (2028) - Pet - Chinchilla or rabbit
The Newtons visit the SSPCA and find a fluffy grey chinchilla cowering in a corner. A month later, Wilhelm (ah, the name generator) is their own.
Year 12 (2029) - Birth - Girl
Alban and Martha have had another daughter:

Violet is a little jealous of all the attention Poppy gets, but she soon enough realises that she cares for her wee sister.

Martha and Alban miss Quintina, and so they adopt another mouse, this time called Marcianus.
Year 14 (2031) - Birth - Girl
Another baby girl for the Newtons!
