Year 16:
To everyone's surprise, Juliet, the tomboy, absolutely loves figure skating, the most feminine sport they'd put her in. They'd originally thought she might like to play hockey after she learned to skate, but she surprised everyone by enjoying spinning and jumping more than hitting a puck into a net. She won the first three competitions she entered as a pre-preliminary skater, and earned a place at the regional championships!

Lots of awards this year in the Seymour household! Stella's Science Olympiad team won the State Championships and advanced to the National Championships, Laurel's show choir won their regional competition and advanced to the sectional competition, Rosie received an award for her artwork and the highest marks in her piano competition, and Juliet won the regional championships on the preliminary level.

More awards! Stella receives a scholarship to attend the US Space Camp Advanced Space Academy for a week in Alabama. The high school sponsors Laurel and three other members of her choir to attend the Show Choirs of America camp in Decatur, Illinois. Rosie receives acceptance to the Interlochen Arts Academy. David and Gia are hesitant to let her go to boarding school 3 1/2 hours away, but eventually realize that this is her dream, and if she doesn't like it after a semester, she can always come home. Hannah and Oliver win an obedience competition, Juliet wins the silver medal at the regional championships on the pre-juvenile level, and Keegan receives an award for having all As on his report cards.

A tornado rips the roof off of Bloomfield Hills High School, forcing the students (in the Seymour family's case, Juliet and Keegan) to either be bussed to another school or continue their schooling online. Keegan chooses to be bussed to a nearby school, while Juliet's internal battle over whether she should continue traditional schooling or switch to online school is decided for her, and chooses to begin online classes. Laurel graduates in December with her music education degree, while Stella continues on in her dual bachelors/masters degree in aerospace engineering.

To everyone's surprise, Juliet, the tomboy, absolutely loves figure skating, the most feminine sport they'd put her in. They'd originally thought she might like to play hockey after she learned to skate, but she surprised everyone by enjoying spinning and jumping more than hitting a puck into a net. She won the first three competitions she entered as a pre-preliminary skater, and earned a place at the regional championships!

More awards! Stella receives a scholarship to attend the US Space Camp Advanced Space Academy for a week in Alabama. The high school sponsors Laurel and three other members of her choir to attend the Show Choirs of America camp in Decatur, Illinois. Rosie receives acceptance to the Interlochen Arts Academy. David and Gia are hesitant to let her go to boarding school 3 1/2 hours away, but eventually realize that this is her dream, and if she doesn't like it after a semester, she can always come home. Hannah and Oliver win an obedience competition, Juliet wins the silver medal at the regional championships on the pre-juvenile level, and Keegan receives an award for having all As on his report cards.

A tornado rips the roof off of Bloomfield Hills High School, forcing the students (in the Seymour family's case, Juliet and Keegan) to either be bussed to another school or continue their schooling online. Keegan chooses to be bussed to a nearby school, while Juliet's internal battle over whether she should continue traditional schooling or switch to online school is decided for her, and chooses to begin online classes. Laurel graduates in December with her music education degree, while Stella continues on in her dual bachelors/masters degree in aerospace engineering.
