What do I do?
Easy! Simply roll the die and follow the instructions! I also find it interesting to write a few sentences (or paragraphs) about the family you create. Its amazing how the characters take on a life of their own. You can do as many or as few years as you like--some people do 5, some 10, some 15--and some do multiple generations!

I had WAY too much fun with this... Here's my family, full of smart people and double middle names

Jonah and William have been together for three years; meeting in college. Jonah, who has straight auburn hair and green eyes, works as a high school math teacher while taking classes on the side to finish her PhD. William, who has wavy red hair and hazel eyes, is in the insurance business. The couple live in a simple two story single family home that Jonah’s family bought as a wedding gift.
YEAR 1: Random Event - adopt a pet
The house is much too large for two people, so after talking it over, Jonah and William decided to get a pet, preferably a dog, to fill the space. Besides, William was home a bit more than Jonah, and got a little lonely. After much searching and research, they found a sweet female border collie a year old at a rescue shelter. They adopted her and brought her home, naming her Dora.

No one knows how long she plans on staying.

He hands in his resignation in February 2018 after finding a job as a primary school PE teacher, helping kids realise their full athletic potential regardless of their circumstances. While Francesca is a little concerned about finances, she ultimately just wants her husband to be happy.

Both Alex and Francesca's careers are looking up. Francesca's products were recently reviewed very positively by a popular YouTuber, and she's seen a huge increase in sales, while Alex's dedication to the kids he works with has been recognised in the form of a large bonus. The twins are 2 years old now, and both are developing a passion for learning, encouraged by their parents wherever possible.

The first weeks after her adoption have been rough for the parents and the little girl, but she is slowly settling in her new family. She loves being read to, playing with her stuffed animals and she and Hester and inseparable.

Chuck and Inez were childhood friends, growing up in a small desert town in California. The two have always been close before separating for university. They decided to take a chance in dating after reuniting for a mutual friend's wedding. After two years of dating, Chuck and Inez tied the knot when both were 23.
Chuck is a charming and kind young man who works as a licensed veterinarian, following the footsteps of his late mother. A huge animal lover, Chuck often donates to animal related charities and fundraisers and hopes to start his own veterinarian practice one day. Inez's straightforward personality may make her come off as blunt and a bit arrogant, but she can also be very thoughtful and compassionate. Since she was 17, she started a popular blog and YouTube channel (InezBadContent) where she reviews upcoming book releases and expresses her musings on literature. In her videos, she's known for her harsh and biting sense of humor. Currently, she is working on a YA novel.

T+1: Monica and Niles have decided to adopt from India! 13-year-old Parvati has raised her siblings, 8-year-old Anish and 5-year-old Malati, ever since their mother died giving birth to Malati, with their father soon abandoning them.

T+3: 14-year-old Carina and 2-year-old Rufus have joined the family all the way from Britain! Despite being siblings, the two look almost nothing alike, with Carina having blonde hair and green eyes, and Rufus having black hair and eyes.
T+4: The family has seen the birth of their sister, Scarlet Matilda Beaumont! Scarlet has her father's black hair.

She volunteered at the camp in high school and worked there every summer in college as a counselor. After graduation, she managed their PR/media needs and was promoted to camp director last year.
