[Opinions] BA for high school/ college friend
My friend just had a baby and her name is Silvya Grace. I'm not 100% certain on pronunciation, I think that it is either SIL-vee-ə or SIL-vyah.
The babies surname has the same sound as Silv- but a different ending sound.
They were going to name her Sterling Grace but decided that it didn't suit her looks.

I'm glad they didn't go for Sterling! I love Sylvia, but hate that spelling, especially if the excuse for it is to make Sylvia more 'unique'. I really hope they are saying it with three syllables. Kind of sounds like they have a thing for silver haha, Sylvia/Sylvie (or Silver as a middle) would probably be how I'd 'honour' that. Grace is dull and uninspiring in my opinion.
I don't like the creative spelling so much, but it's a really pretty name and so much nicer than Sterling
Sylvia would be much nicer and less complicated.
It almost sounds like they have some kind of silver thing going on with that Sterling.

It's an interesting choice with their last name for sure. I'm glad they went with Silvya over Sterling!
