Yes, I think it's too heavy. I dislike Lena and Magda as well as Leni and Madge so I can't even think of nicknames I would like for it. It has a heavy sound and for some reason I always imagine a really mean person :/
I much prefer Magdalene which is much softer as well as Madeline. I also vastly prefer the Italian Maddalena or the Romanian Madalina over it.
