I'd go the Mabel route without hesitation. partly for its retro charm, and partly because it shortens to May without actually being May!Where I live, Ida can be either IEda or EEda. I know a Hyphen-Ida person (not Anne-Ida, but it could be) who uses the EEda version for family reasons.
